The free tools on this site are small, educational aids to reading about Ayurveda, each with its own page, an explanation of how it works and the texts it draws on. Three are ready now: the prakriti quiz, which gives a rough guide to your constitution, the seasonal routine tool, which shows the current ritu for your city, and the daily routine planner, which shows sunrise, sunset and a gentle routine with times. More will be added as they are ready.

Every tool follows the same rules. It works out its answer in your browser, so what you type is not sent to us. It shows its working, so that you can see how an answer was reached and decide how far to trust it. It describes what the tradition says and never claims to diagnose, treat or advise. A tool that sorts you into a dosha, for instance, tells you that it is a simplified questionnaire based on traditional descriptions and that it cannot replace an assessment by a trained practitioner.

The first time you use a tool, we ask for your email address and send a 6-digit code to confirm it. After that, all the tools are unlocked on your device. We ask for consent before sending you anything, and you can unsubscribe at any time with one click. The same confirmation works across all the sites in the Nidarshana Vedh family, so someone who has already confirmed an email on one of them will find the tools open here. The privacy page says exactly what we keep and why, and Delete my data removes it.

We do not ask for health information in any tool. Please do not type details of your medical conditions, medicines or symptoms into any box on this site, including the contact form, unless you are comfortable with them being stored as ordinary email.

If a tool gives you an answer that looks wrong, or the description of a tradition looks inaccurate, please tell us on the contact page. Corrections are welcome and are recorded on the method and sources page.

Nothing here is medical advice. Please read the medical disclaimer, and see a qualified doctor, or in India a registered Ayurvedic practitioner (BAMS), for any question about your own health.
